About the Teacher Training

Our 200 Hour Teacher Training is grounded in compassion for the student, and devotion to the practice.

At Eastside Yoga School we use a multi-teacher approach. We are bringing in a number of different teachers who specialize in different areas. Learn from teachers who have areas of expertise in Yoga Therapy, Alignment, Teaching Class Sequencing and Flow, Ayurveda, and Yogic Philosophy. You will become part of a thriving yoga community and learn to teach a variety of safe, effective and inspiring classes.

We are a Registered Yoga School with the Yoga Alliance. Complete this course and add RYT to your title. The only prerequisites are a true desire to share the practice of yoga and a personal practice of at least one year.

You will gain a deep understanding of not only the physical practice, but also the history, philosophy and spiritual side of yoga.

Shala Tuition and Schedule

Classes will take place every Sunday from 1pm to 6:30pm. Beginning September Sunday 9th and finishing Sunday March 3rd, 2013. There will be no class on Sunday October 7th (Thanksgiving) Sunday December 16th, 23th, 30th.

Payment in full on or before June 30th $2797 +HST. After June 30th $2897+HST

The payment plan is four payments of $774.35 +HST ($875 with HST)(1st payment due on or before Sept 9th)

All prices are plus HST

There will also be two intensive weekends consisting of Saturday from 1pm to 6pm as well as the regularly scheduled Sundayh1>Intensive weekends will be as follows:

Saturday October 13th and Sunday October 14th 1-6pm Functional Anatomy with Lynn Medow.

Saturday November 10th and Sunday November 11th, Chakras and Yoga at the Wall 1-6pm with Nancy McCaochan.

You will be responsible for approximately 2-3 hrs of homework per week, and karma classes in early spring. You will also be learning with written projects and group assignments.

You’ll get to know a lot of great teachers who only wants to help you succeed. Whether your goal is to help others through yoga, or a choice to take this time for you and your practice.
