One of the topics I love to talk about is yoga and social justice. I am pretty fired up after coming back from Race and Yoga Conference at University of California, Berkeley. It was an incredible conversation with scholars, academics and yogis around cultural exchange, appropriation, boundaries, acknowledgement and growth. We talked about the origins of yoga and quest for equality. It is time to question ourselves as a culture.
Where is our compassion and humanity? Why are we so divided? What is happening in our world? We need pay attention, listen and act. We can be the voice of change.
I am watching what is going on in Baltimore. Now more then ever we need to practice discernment, understanding and justice. Watch what is going on and how decide how we can make change. We need stand up for what is right.
Together our voices are strong and we can make a difference.
