Slow flow vinyasa releases tight muscles

Show of hands: Who out there is feeling stiff and sore today? Too much time in a desk chair and my body starts to let me know about it. Maybe you’re moving more as you take advantage of the sunshine this summer. Or maybe you’re gardening or doing work around your home, moving your muscles in different ways. Or maybe you’re still working long hours from your home office and your hip flexors, back and hamstrings are paying the price. Whatever has you feeling stiff and sore, a little yoga can help.ย

Taking 20 minutes to stretch my body can make all the difference when my muscles are tight and sore. Today’s practice uses blocks to raise the floor โ€” perfect if you have tight hamstrings โ€” and slow, deliberate transitions to mindfully stretch your hips, glutes, hamstrings, quads, shoulders and back.

Just getting started with yoga? This practice is ideal for beginners, folks with tight bodies, and anyone who wants to move mindfully through a full body stretch. I hope you enjoy today’s yoga practice!
