Intentional Well-Being Podcast: Blooming
Do you know that 70% of people who wear bras in the US wear a D cup or higher bra? Or that the average band size is 44 to 46? Neither did I. The good news, is Elyse Kaye knows and wanted to create a sports bra that would fit the widest range of sizes and shapes she could create.
Bloom bras aren’t just clothes – they are engineering!! They actually hold breasts in a way that is supportive, comfortable and allows for natural movement. They are adjustable – and I don’t just meant the shoulder straps, though they are adjustable. The cups CINCH so you can get a truly custom fit, and as your body shifts, your bra can shift with you. And when I found out they have pockets?? Pockets in a bra? For those of us who have been using our bra to carry our keys and money for years – game changer.
Can you tell I’m excited? I am.. and I’m excited I get to introduce you to Elyse Kaye, the founder and creator of Bloom Bras today.
Join us for a fun conversation about all things sports bra.
Elyse Kaye founded Bloom Bras out of frustration. She knew that getting a good fitting bra was an engineering challenge not a design challenge.
She leads a very active lifestyle but for me, the main challenge was finding a sports bra that gave her enough support yet didn’t make her feel like she was wearing a suit of armor or a medieval torture device.
With that is mind she partnered with NASA, shipping and packaging experts and a corset expert to develop a sports bra that adjusts to the body. Out of this work, Bloom Bras was born!
