Intentional Well-Being Podcast: Changing the World of Fitness
Welcome back folks!
I’m going to ask you a question. What does it mean to you to break out of your normal routine? I mean doing something out of the ordinary of your every day life.
I have someone on the show today that has broken out of the ordinary. Today, I’m here with Tera Gillen. Tera is the host of the Better in the Second Half podcast, a mental health advocate, and my spin instructor! At the age of 37, she participated on the show Big Brother Canada, leaving her kids and family at home for 69 days and showing her family why it is so important to ‘break the mold.’
Everyone is multidimensional. We are all more than just one identity of a job, caretaker, etc. Insert your label here. We are not confined to one definition. We all have many facets to our life that make up who we are. When we show up for ourselves and break out of the routine to explore more of who we are, we are paving the way for others to do the same. Especially our own children. We are inspiring them to live a life free of the limitations that society puts on us or that we have put on ourselves.
Tera reminds us that it is OKAY to still be figuring out what you want out of life in your 40s. Learning to trust your intuition and be so secure with what you choose in life that no outsiders opinion of that choice will ever matter.
Let’s jump in!
