Perspective is Everything – Hanging Upside Down
Have No Fear, The Wall is Here
They say, “perspective is everything.” This is especially true for how you view the world from the outside inward. But what if we took our gaze inward and shifted our perspective on what we are capable of with ourselves? How would that change the way you show up outwardly in the world?
Think about it, if the work we do inward lies heavily on how we perceive things around us and our own self-awareness of how those things make us feel (and act), then completely shifting our perspective (and body) by flipping upside down, will inevitably teach us something new about ourselves. And the more we learn about ourselves, the more we can love ourselves. And the more we love ourselves, the more greater we can take in the world around us.
So, today we are flipping your perspective and if you’ve been following along with my yoga practices every other week then I know you’re ready!
You’ve got the strength and mobility foundations down and it’s time to finally practice getting upside down. But! Before going upside down for the first time you will need to create a safe practice environment. Start by finding a space near a wall and make sure there’s enough space for you to move. We’ll need the wall for the handstand exercises in this tutorial video
I have found that using the wall is an incredibly efficient way to enjoy getting upside down while building a tremendous amount of strength in your arms, shoulders, core, and your legs! Okay, so full-body strength I’m talking about here.
Have no fear, the wall is here.
You got this! Let’s get it!
