Let’s be real, we all need time for ourselves in a world where we are conditioned and expected to show up for other people. How can we keep showing up for others (family, friends, colleagues) when we aren’t putting in the time for ourselves? “Don’t pour for an empty cup,” they say. I say, don’t even pour from a half-empty cup, you hear me?!
Break up your workday with a 10-minute mindful yoga practice to stretch and strengthen the body while calming and centering the mind. This practice will take you from seated stretches and arm strengthening to hip-openers and spine lengthening. Give your body a chance to recharge between meetings, projects, or picking up the kids from school.
Allow yourself time to feel refreshed and recharged in your body and mind and get back to it. Because, you’ve got big dreams, honey, and they are going to need you to feel good from the inside out!
